My name is Silvie Koanda and I am 26years old. I was born in Rome, and moved to London with my parents when i was 6yrs old.
I am half Colombian (South America) and half Burkinabe (Burkina Faso, West Africa).
I finished a degree in Fine art at Central St Martins, and have been traveling ever since, working and living in Honduras and Madagascar.
I also assisted photographers Michael Freeman, Gideon Mendel and Nell Freeman.
In December 2009 I was awarded a Master of the Arts in Photojounalism and Documentary Phorography at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.
I now live and work in The Netherlands.
